Advanced Lane for Buses

Advanced Lane for Buses

Give buses priority in urban areas to speed up public transport
Bus priority measures are needed to prevent further decline in bus use and to encourage modal shift to buses from cars.
My proposal is for buses to receive priority over other road traffic at junctions. This could easily be achieved by the
creation of advanced lanes/boxes at junctions where buses would have priority – similar to the those already in place for cyclists.
So, for example, at the junction of Lothian Road with Princes Street buses would have priority over cars and vans.
